Trigger values are used on ground engineering projects to protect adjacent assets. They must reflect evolving condition states throughout the works to ensure asset protection and to allow validation of design assumptions. The values are based on best assessments of anticipated behaviour as works progress. They can be determined by calculation but may be based on other pertinent information including assessments of baseline data.
