The Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists is delighted to announce that its flagship Annual Conference will return to the prestigious One Great George Street in Westminster, London, on Thursday 22 April 2027.

Centred around the theme of resilience, the event will bring together industry leaders, technical specialists and emerging professionals to explore how the geotechnical and geoenvironmental sector can respond to an evolving range of environmental, technical and societal challenges.

The Annual Conference will welcome 240 professionals from across the industry for a day of technical insight, discussion, collaboration and networking. Chaired by AGS Chair, Alex Lee (Partner at HKA), the programme will showcase the latest industry developments, research and best practice, while providing valuable opportunities to connect with colleagues, clients and sector leaders. The day will conclude with an extended drinks reception in the Great Hall, offering further opportunities to continue conversations and strengthen professional connections.

The AGS is also pleased to announce the return of its popular Early Careers Poster Competition. This year, early career professionals are invited to share their ideas on how the industry can inspire more people to pursue a career in geoscience, helping to encourage and support the next generation of talent.

Further details on the programme, speakers, registration and poster competition will be announced in the coming months.
