• HAVS is the collective term for conditions caused by operation of Vibrating hand tools;
• HAVS can cause permanent, ill health effects;
• Employers must ensure that measures are in place to monitor exposure to Vibrating tools;
• Simple steps can be taken, to ensure that workers are not exposed to excessive use of vibrating tools;
