This LPA answers some common questions on assignment of the benefits and burden of a contract. The benefit to the client employing a specialist is the right to read and rely upon the specialist’s report. The burden is the obligation to pay. What can be assigned and when is discussed, as well as the potential problems for the specialist should the benefit be assigned.
